Progression of Left Wrist Injury - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit features four silhouette views of the left hand and wrist revealing the bones of this region in each image. These four images compare the following conditions: Normal anatomy showing the proper structure and alignment of the distal radius and ulna; Post-accident condition with fracture of the distal radius; Subsequent condition showing that although the radius has healed, there is a deformity of this region including shortening and angulation; Final image including the transcarpal ligament and major nerves to further illustrate the subsequent condition. This image shows the compression of the median nerve over the area of the deformity to illustrate the carpal tunnel syndrome.
