Vasa Previa with Rupture of Umbilical Vessels - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit features multiple image detailing the the differences between normal placenta vessels and one with Vasa Previa. Images include the following: 1. Normal sagittal (side cut away) view of a fetus in utero. A detailed enlargement of the insertion point of the umbilicus into the placenta demonstrate normal vessel appearance. 2. Sagittal view of a fetus and Vasa Previa of the placenta. The detailed view in this portion of the exhibit reveals that the umbilical vessels travel within the fetal membranes across the cervical os, and insert directly into the surface of the placenta. 3. One added inset reveals a vaginal view, showing the fetal head and vessels appearing within the membranes across the cervical os.
