Left Knee Injuries with Surgical Repair - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This board depicts the following knee injuries: synovitis, posterior cruciate ligament tibial avulsion fracture, partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament and full thickness cartilage defect on the lateral tibial plateau. Arthroscopic surgery is performed for debridement of synovitis and removal of loose body. A microfracture tool is used to poke two holes in the exposed bone to stimulate cartilage growth. A second incision is made posterior to the knee to fixate the avulsed bone fragment with screws.
